Subject: The connection between OpenClaw and "Lobsters"
Technically, OpenClaw (the open-source engine) doesn't have a direct biological link to lobsters, but the connection is a huge part of the game it's based on: Captain Claw.
The link comes down to a few fun points:
In the original game, while the main protagonist is a cat (Captain Claw), some of the most iconic enemies in the later levels are actually Lobster Pirates. If you are playing through the game using OpenClaw, you'll spend a lot of time fighting these armored crustaceans!
There is a bit of wordplay involved. The protagonist’s name is Captain Claw, but in English, a lobster's pincers are also called claws. This has led to many jokes within the community about "Cat Claws" vs. "Lobster Claws."
Because the lobster enemies are known for being quite tough (especially those throwing bombs), the lobster has become a bit of an unofficial mascot or "meme" within the OpenClaw development community and fan circles.
In short: if you're talking about OpenClaw, you're usually talking about the cat; if you're talking about lobsters, you're talking about the enemies he’s trying to defeat!
